Premium dermocosmetics brands, which are widely represented in sun care and distributed mostly in pharmacies and parapharmacies, still generate a minor share of retail value in Kazakhstan in 2021. Premium dermocosmetics brands are leading innovation in sun care, and, by doing so, they can set a good example to mass brands in terms of brand positioning. For example, in the last two years premium dermocosmetics producers of brands such as Avène and Biotherm successfully carried out research studies to prove the safety of sun cream protection filters for environment and marine life.
