During the forecast period, consumers will continue to favour fewer filters and lower standards of “perfect” beauty, opting for self-acceptance and inclusivity. Many consumers will be opting for a more minimal and simplified style of make-up, avoiding unnecessary products.
As the COVID-19 crisis may even be considered to have ended in 2023 and Italian consumers will continue to increase the time that they spend out of their homes and socialising, there will be a growing demand for long-lasting make-up. This is likely to stimulate demand for waterproof products, primers and powders.
